On September 24, government representatives, industry experts, and corporate delegates from France, Thailand, Japan, and other countries and regions gathered in Muchuan County, Sichuan Province to conduct on-site investigations into the development of the local konjac industry. They explored the core pathways for high-quality development across the entire industrial chain in the "China Konjac Homeland" and gained firsthand insights into the significant achievements of standardized konjac cultivation practices and technology-driven industrial empowerment.

At the core site of this research—the China Konjac Technology Demonstration Park—the 350㎡ "integrated production and sales" dispatch "cockpit" in the digital exhibition hall has become a focal point. This "cockpit" centrally displays full-chain data including meteorological monitoring, growth quality analysis, and order tracking. Nearly 500 IoT sensors have established a smart agriculture system covering the entire konjac production cycle, enabling precise and visualized management of industrial development. In addition to data-driven management, the demonstration park integrates advanced agricultural technologies such as intelligent shading systems, integrated water-fertilizer systems, and tissue culture R&D. It also introduces market-oriented operational models and facilities like konjac-themed dining and characteristic homestays, successfully creating a deeply integrated development model of "production + processing + tourism". Its innovative approach and operational effectiveness have received unanimous praise from domestic and international guests.

"Through recent meetings, I've come to appreciate the unique value and multifaceted benefits of the konjac industry. The field visit revealed Mucan's remarkable progress in konjac development – a truly eye-opening experience that left me deeply inspired," said Suk Paphra, General Manager of Thailand's Botan Group, during the survey. His remarks were filled with evident recognition of Mucan's konjac industry achievements.

In recent years, Muchuan County has adhered to a development path of "high standards + artisanal craftsmanship", aiming to establish a national modern agricultural industrial park while continuously strengthening the konjac industry foundation. Beyond creating a technology demonstration garden, the county has established a full-chain quality traceability system and promoted green cultivation across 10,000 mu (approximately 666 hectares), ensuring ecological quality of raw materials from the source. The "Muchuan Konjac" has been certified as a National Geographical Indication Product. Empowered by technology, standardized cultivation yields 2.5 tons per mu, with professional service teams providing over 500 technical guidance sessions annually, solidifying support for stable industrial development.

Leveraging its solid industrial foundation, Muchuan County has further expanded the development dimensions of konjac industry by exploring new pathways for "agriculture-industry-tourism" integration based on its industrial advantages. It has established an integrated industrial ecosystem encompassing breeding, cultivation, processing, R&D, and educational tours, driving the industry toward the high end of the value chain. Since its opening in 2022, the China Konjac Technology Demonstration Park has received over 20,000 visitors cumulatively, with more than 20,000 students completing educational tours. After officially commencing operations in 2023, the park implemented online reservations and smart ticketing systems, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and visitor experience. It is now striving to become a new hub for konjac industry education in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. This industrial development model not only revitalizes Muchuan's rural economy but also provides a replicable "Muchuan Experience" for the transformation and upgrading of specialty agricultural industries nationwide.
