In the summer season, Muchuan Longmen Grand Canyon Drifting scenic area ushered in the peak tourist season. Recently, the reporter visited the site and found that the scenic area has provided tourists with a more abundant playing experience through a series of quality upgrading measures.

At the fishing and hunting floating dock in the scenic area, a unique fish-catching competition is in full swing. As the whistle sounded, the participating tourists jumped into the pool, and Mr.Zhang from Chengdu soon caught a big fish.

"We are from Chengdu. Mucuan is a beautiful place with clear water and cool weather. We can go rafting and fish. We caught a lot of fish, which was very exciting and fun," said Mr.Wan, a tourist from Chengdu, happily.

It is understood that the scenic spot has added interactive projects such as fishing and duck catching this year, and has improved supporting facilities such as water slides to bring visitors a unique experience of water.

Mr.Song, a tourist from Zigong, said that he saw the Mucuan Longmen Grand Canyon Drift on the Internet and came to experience it. The drift was good overall and exciting. You should prepare things for the water fight. Mucuan mountain is good, with many mountains and high forest coverage, which is a suitable place for tourism.

It is worth mentioning that the sunshade and spray device installed in the upper and lower docks of the scenic spot make tourists feel "cool all the way" in the queuing rest area, which has been well received.

"Recently, the scenic area has focused on enhancing visitor experiences through travel and recreational improvements. First, we've optimized traffic flow by widening road corners at congested intersections during peak hours. Snake-patterned guardrails were installed in ferry waiting areas to ensure orderly queues, complemented by sunshades and cooling mist systems. For attractions, the upper dock and mid-route zone have been transformed into a Wizard of Oz-inspired photo hotspot. Combined with the mist forest system, visitors can enjoy picturesque photos while escaping the heat. During peak periods, we've also adjusted rafting operations to minimize wait times. We'll keep refining our services to ensure every visit brings greater comfort and enjoyment," said Li Qian, Deputy General Manager of Sichuan Mucuan County Xiangsheng Tourism Development Co., Ltd.

Statistics reveal that since May this year, the scenic area has seen a 40% year-on-year increase in daily visitor numbers, with weekend peak attendance exceeding 6,000 visitors. The quality upgrade of Longmen Grand Canyon Drift Scenic Area exemplifies Muchuan County's commitment to its "cultural tourism revitalization" strategy and deepened integration of cultural and tourism development. As a flagship cultural tourism project prioritized by the county, this attraction is generating remarkable multiplier effects, emerging as a new engine to boost local cultural tourism consumption.
