Two years later, the CCTV Finance Channel's' Consumer Proposition 'program team returned to Wutongqiao. From June 28 to July 2, they visited Guanying Town, Xiba Town, and Niu Hua Town, offering a unique perspective on the district's specialty industry——ginger. They focused on the entire ginger supply chain, from the fields to the dining table.

Wutongqiao ginger has a long history, known for its freshness, tenderness, fragrance, and crispness, as well as its thick flesh, rich flavor, and no tough fibers. The program team first visited Guanying Town, capturing the bustling scenes in the ginger fields at 4 a.m., filming the processes of digging, washing, and packing the ginger. This footage captures the farmers' rush to harvest the ginger early in the morning, providing valuable material for the special program.

From the fields to the dining table, Wutongqiao ginger is winning fans with its unique flavor of being fragrant but not spicy, fresh and tender. This has elevated Wutongqiao cuisine to a 'star' on the tongue. Niu Hua Spicy Hot Pot relies heavily on ginger in both its base broth and dishes. The program team filmed the traditional method of making the base broth at Zhou Ji Spicy Hot Pot and tasted the distinctive flavor of 'young ginger beef'.

At Tianchi Manor, the "Zijiang Feast" of duck breast, fish and beef tongue made by Zijiang attracted the program team. They said during the filming: "The dishes are creative, distinctive and complete in color, aroma and taste."

Furthermore, the program team also focused on the pickled ginger production techniques in Xiba Town. The camera meticulously captured the entire process from selecting materials and seasonings to the final product, delving into the legacy of Wan Zhiqiang, a provincial leader in wealth creation. It explored the journey of this pure culinary delight from the fields to the dining table, exploring the commitment to quality and the inheritance of craftsmanship from the source to the table.

"Consumer Proposition" is a program on CCTV's Finance Channel that focuses on the dynamic changes in consumer life. It provides valuable information, insights, and judgment for consumers, with experiential, investigative, and narrative elements as its three main features. Each episode lasts 30 minutes.
