On the morning of April 12th, the Culture, Radio, Television, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Muchuan County, together with Leshan Muchuan Yuan Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and Deya Art, launched the "Parent - Child Research Trip to Muchuan" activity. The first stop was the Farming Museum in Taoyuan Mountain Residence, where people could experience the unique charm of the intangible cultural heritage, the Caolong (grass dragon).

Sanxi Village, Muchuan Town is the birthplace of the Muchuan Caolong, a national intangible cultural heritage, and the core area of Taoyuan Mountain Residence, a national 4A - level tourist scenic area. It has successively won the titles of a National Civilized Village and a Provincial Rural Revitalization Demonstration Village. When entering the farming museum, students and parents gathered closely around the research tutors, full of amazement and curiosity. Everyone listened carefully to the origin, development, and inheritance process of the Muchuan Caolong. Through watching promotional videos, viewing physical exhibitions, and experiencing VR immersive interactions, they got a close - up look at the unique charm of the traditional Caolong weaving technique and intangible cultural heritage.
"I saw the amazing Caolong flying out. I'm so happy," said Zhang Keyuan, a student.
"This research trip is very meaningful. It not only strengthens the parent - child relationship between me and my child but also allows my child to learn about the traditional culture of our Chinese nation. I hope more children can participate," said Lin Jie, a parent.

This "Research Trip on the Intangible Cultural Heritage Caolong" presented a comprehensive and immersive cultural feast of the Caolong intangible cultural heritage through multi - dimensional research scenarios. In the form of "being visible, touchable, and learnable", it brought the intangible cultural heritage from textbooks into real life. This not only enhanced students' cultural identity but also injected youthful power into the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.

On the afternoon of April 12th, after the "Research Trip on the Intangible Cultural Heritage Caolong", the parent - child research group went deep into the Muchuan Bamboo Sea, a national 4A - level tourist scenic area, to feel the rhythm and harmony of nature.
Muchuan County enjoys the reputation of a "Green Pearl" and a "Natural Oxygen Bar", and the Bamboo Sea tourist scenic area is a naturally beautiful place. There are more than 100,000 mu of bamboo forests in the rolling mountains and valleys. When the breeze blows, the green waves ripple, stretching into waves as far as the eye can see, thus getting the name "Bamboo Sea".

Led by the research tutors, students and parents successively visited the natural wonders such as "Xiaodong Feihong" (Xiao Cave with Flying Rainbow), the mysterious and dangerous Shuiyuefeng Cave, and the integrated - landscape Yongxing Lake and the "No.1 Insect in the World". They marveled at the uncanny workmanship of nature. At the same time, by observing the growth characteristics, species distribution, and ecological functions of bamboo on - site, they learned about the important role of bamboo plants in environmental protection. The research tutors also vividly explained scientific knowledge such as the life cycle and photosynthesis of bamboo through interactive Q&A and bamboo shoot collection, stimulating students' interest in natural science.
"The Muchuan Bamboo Sea is so beautiful. I hope my mom can bring me here to play every day," exclaimed Liao Xuze, a student.
"It's very meaningful to learn about bamboo insects and bamboo shoots through this research trip. I hope there will be more similar activities in the future so that I can come and play with my child," said Cao Yuanfang, a parent.
This research trip used bamboo as a medium. Through forms such as natural observation and ecological practice, students experienced the unique charm of Chinese bamboo culture in immersive learning. It was a vivid and interesting research - based learning class for children, taking education out of the classroom and planting the seeds of green culture in their hearts. (Text/Photos: Li Shuai)
